Kool-Aid Play Dough Recipe

Kids of any age love to play with playdough. I have made many batches of playdough over the years, and I have found that homemade playdough is definitely better than storebought.

kool aid playdough This recipe is great because instead of food coloring you use Kool Aid to color the playdough. The Kool Aid gives the playdough a sweet scent that your child will enjoy.

Kool Aid Play Dough

1 cup flour
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 package unsweetened Kool-Aid
1/4 cup salt
2 tablespoons cream of tartar
1 cup water

Mix flour, salt, cream of tartar and Kool-Aid in a medium sauce pan. Add water and vegetable oil. Stir over medium heat 3 to 5 minutes. When mixture forms a ball in pan, remove from heat. Knead dough until smooth. Store in a gallon sized ziploc bag. The playdough will stay good for about a month if it gets put away after every use.
