Rachel, I have just read your other blog about Kids, Clothes, Image and I would like to say that you sound great! I am lucky enough to be able to afford new designer clothes for my twin girls, but even though I can afford these clothes I very rarely buy them something new. Based in the UK we have what we call Charity shops which sounds the same as your consigment shops. We also have ebay and I have to say that I use it all the time to buy my kids clothes. Secondhand yes, but always are in an almost new condition. I even get to sometimes resell second hand clothes that I have bought back on ebay. Great fun! My girls don't know the difference. As with your daughter and your experiences, not sure how they will react when they are older and find out they are wearing secondhand clothes, but for now, they love choosing their outfits on ebay and from there I bid for them. Actually beware with Ebay also, because some secondhand clothes actually sell for more than they were originally bought for new. Once again, thanks for your blog, will be bookmarking it!
